Terms of Service

Effective Date: March 10, 2026 · Last Updated: March 10, 2026

You buy Capture Watch once. You own it forever. Use it however you want. Don't sue us if something breaks. That's it.

1. Agreement

By purchasing and using Capture Watch ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

These terms are between you and Gun Hudson ("we", "us", "our"), the developer of Capture Watch.

2. License

When you purchase Capture Watch, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

You may not:

3. Ownership

You own all audio recordings you create with Capture Watch. We claim no rights to your content.

We own all intellectual property rights in the App itself (code, design, branding, etc.).

4. One-Time Purchase

Capture Watch is a one-time purchase. No subscriptions, no recurring fees.

Your purchase includes:

Future features: We may offer paid add-ons or premium features in the future, but all core functionality remains as purchased. We'll never take away features you paid for or force you into a subscription.

5. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple via the App Store. We don't process payments directly.

To request a refund:

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Find Capture Watch and request a refund
  4. Apple decides whether to approve refunds (usually within 48 hours)

We can't override Apple's refund decisions.

6. Device Requirements

Capture Watch requires:

The App may not work on older devices. We're not responsible if your device doesn't meet requirements.

7. Recording Consent

⚠️ You are responsible for complying with all recording laws in your jurisdiction.

In many places, it's illegal to record someone without their consent. Laws vary:

  • Some require one-party consent (you can record if you're part of the conversation)
  • Some require two-party/all-party consent (everyone must agree)
  • Some prohibit recording in private places

We are not responsible if you use the App to violate recording laws. Do your research. Get consent. Don't be creepy.

8. Liability & Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

We don't guarantee:

We are not liable for:

Maximum liability: If something goes wrong, the most we'll owe you is the purchase price you paid ($6.99).

This sounds harsh, but it's standard. We're a small operation, not a billion-dollar company. We build quality software, but stuff happens.

9. Privacy

Your recordings stay on your devices. We never see them.

Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If we do:

Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, not courts (unless you live somewhere that prohibits arbitration clauses).
